EPISODE 231

Interview with Gordon and Jennifer.

Gordon and Jennifer – who have both been in marriages that failed due to infidelity on each of their partner’s part – met and have enjoyed a great relationship together, having lived in a monogamous marriage for 20 years. After reading some kinky books, searching other fun sexual activities, and their growing ever closer and curious about their own fantasies, Gordon and Jenn stepped out into the world to explore making some of these sexual fantasies a reality. Two years ago, starting with a threesome, after adventuring out to a sex club – because that experience was so fun and exciting – Gordon began seeing the excitement and motivation Jenn was having towards this new world. Yet pangs of some of the old feelings of his past marriage and the infidelity, that caused so much difficulty, came rushing back in. This is the reason that brings Gordon & Jennifer to the Jealousy Survival Guide (Loving Without Boundaries) coaching program.

Alexandra Harbushka’s life was sent into upheaval when she received a call from her doctor diagnosing her with herpes. Shaking, feeling like her life - her goals, happiness, and desires - had all just gone up in smoke, she was left scared shitless and with a new mission, to share her story with people just like her and to let them know that their feelings are normal, natural, and that they are not victims. With that mission in mind, she founded Life With Herpes, an online community consisting of a podcast, a website, YouTube channel, wellness products to support the skin condition and an online community that provides support, all dedicated to shattering the stigma of living with herpes.

Before founding Life With Herpes and becoming a mother to her son Clinton and a wife to her husband Bill, Alexandra worked in corporate America with roles ranging from Ralph Lauren to selling new home construction to being a mortgage loan officer. Her education includes a bachelor degree from the University of Arizona (Bear Down to my fellow Wildcats!), a postgraduate certificate in Ministry, and is currently working on a masters in Theology. She is also an ordained minister and provides ministry counseling.

Episode 213: Emma and Fin Interview. For Emma and Fin, life is all about seeking out adventure, embracing the chaos, and meeting amazing people along the way. They are in their mid thirties, met in seventh grade, and have been together since their freshman year of college. A year or so into their relationship it was obvious that exploring everything life had to offer was part of who they were as individuals, and as a team. They were very young at the time and neither had really experienced the world of dating, so they created a way to explore aspects of the dating world without ending their relationship, through non-monogamy. Fast forward about 11 years and they decided to start a weekly podcast called Normalizing Non-Monogamy in 2018. They absolutely love meeting new people and hearing their stories and through this podcast they get to interview people from all over the world who are exploring non-monogamy on their own terms. The hope is that if they can get enough of those stories out into the world that it will provide a resource for anyone who is considering non-monogamy. They also want to show that non-monogamy is more common than most people think and that it can be done in an ethical and consensual way. Overall, the mission is to inspire people to embrace their true selves so that, together, we can open minds and live authentically without shame.
